Photo-ready Checklist

Your home doesn't have to be perfect to photograph well, but there are a few things you can do before the shoot to make sure it looks great in pictures.

Exteriors-Front
-All cars removed from driveway
-Bins put out of view or in garage
-Hoses contained or removed
-Pathways cleared of debris

Interiors: Entryway, dining room, formal living room, office
-Welcome mats and runner rugs taken up and put away
-Coat racks, key hangers, etc. cleared and de-cluttered.
-Shelves, desks and tables organised and cleared of clutter and papers

Kitchen and breakfast area
-Counters and tables as cleared as possible, most appliances and utensils put away
-Rugs taken up and put away
-Pet feeders, water bowls, toys, etc put away
-Bins hidden or put away
-Remove all Magnets and photos from fridge

Living Room
-Small rugs and runner rugs taken up and stowed away
-Remotes, laptops, charging cables, etc hidden from view
-Shelves and tables de-cluttered as much as possible

Bedrooms
-Beds made
-Small rugs and runner rugs taken up
-Night stands, shelves and tables cleared as much as possible

Bathrooms
-Counters cleared of soaps, toothpastes and brushes, hair products, etc.
-Shampoos and soaps cleared from bathtubs and showers
-Over-the-door hangers taken down and put away
-Rugs and runners taken up and put away
-Bins hidden
-Glass (mirrors and showers) as clean as possible (spots can show up in photos)
-Toilet lids down.

Exteriors-Backyard
-Children's and pool toys, cleaning and lawn care supplies cleared away
-Bins hidden from view
-Pet houses, feeders, toy, etc put away
-As de-cluttered as possible
-Pool cover removed, pool vacuumed and lights on

Miscellaneous
-Make sure light bulbs are working and Same colour bulbs are recommended throughout.
-Turn off all fans
-For twilights, make sure all exterior lighting is functional prior to shoot.
-Clean all windows as these will show up in photos.
